Ford Mexico seeks a skilled customs specialist to review, document, and optimize end-to-end customs processes, ensuring compliance and minimizing shipment disruptions. Location: Hermosillo; on-site role.

You will coordinate with brokers, monitor shipment status, analyze root causes of holds or delays, and implement corrective actions. Requires a Bachelor's in international trade and 4+ years in customs, bilingual Spanish/English.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in international Trade or similar.
• 4+ years of experience in the customs space.
• Bilingual Spanish/English.
• Strong understanding of MX customs regulations and import/export processes.
• Experience coordinating customs brokers and service providers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to operate effectively in high-pressure environments with shifting priorities.

Responsabilidades

• Review, map, and document end-to-end customs processes to mitigate shipment disruptions.
• Review reports to track shipment status and identify risks or deviations.
• Ensure shipments cross within target timeframes; coordinate preventive actions.
• Identify root causes of holds/delays and implement corrective actions.
• Follow up on holds due to customs issues through resolution.
• Develop analytic tools.
• Develop performance metrics.
• On-site position, Monday to Friday; remote support may be required during weekends.

• Review, map, and document end-to-end customs processes to ensure comprehensive activity capture and mitigate risk of shipment disruptions related to customs compliance.
• Review reports on a regular basis to track shipment status and identify potential risks or deviations.
• Ensure shipments cross within target timeframes, coordinating preventive and corrective actions as needed.
• Identify root cause of shipment holds/delays and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
• Follow up on shipments hold due to customs issues, escalated by the logistics team through to resolution.
• Develop analytic tools.
• Develop performance metrics.
• On-site position, Monday to Friday; remote support may be required during weekends.

• Bachelor’s degree in international Trade or similar
• 4+ Years of Experience in the Customs space
• Bilingual Spanish/English
• Strong understanding of MX customs regulations, international trade laws, and import/export processes
• Experience coordinating custom broker and Customs service providers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proven capacity to operate effectively in high-pressure situations characterized by shifting priorities and evolving business requirement
