Descripción del empleo

As a Customer Service Chemist at C&T, you will be responsible for developing and adjusting paint or pigment formulations to achieve a specific and consistent color, whether for mass production or to meet customer requests, using knowledge of colorimetry, laboratory equipment, and quality control, ensuring color accuracy and stability on various substrates.

You will report to S&T Customer Support Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Color Matching and Formulation: Develop paint color formulations to meet market color requirements and support product sales goals.
  • Quality Control: Conduct color analysis, testing, and visual or spectrophotometric evaluations to ensure compliance with global, regional, and local customer standards.
  • Laboratory Operations: Calibrate laboratory equipment, including spectrophotometers, colorimeters, mixers, automatic applicators, and ovens. Prepare liquid and applied physical samples.
  • Production Support: Provide technical support during batch production to ensure color consistency and adherence to approved specifications throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Materials Management: Manage laboratory materials by requesting, storing, controlling, and ensuring usage of raw materials required for color formulation activities.
  • Customer Technical Support (Optional): Offer technical assistance to internal and external customers regarding color formulations, application recommendations, and resolution of quality complaints or claims.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain monthly technical reports, laboratory logs, formulation records, and material inventory documentation.
  • Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Comply with and follow all company-defined industrial safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
  • Solid knowledge of color theory and practical use of spectrophotometers.
  • 1+ years of experience handling chemical and color formulations, including colorants and paints.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using management or ERP systems.
  • Experience establishing procedures to ensure client satisfaction, teamwork orientation.
  • Experience with color matching within industrial environments such as paints, plastics, or inks.
  • Upper-intermediate to advanced English level.
