Jabil seeks a Costing Manager for New Business and Quarterly Pricing to lead pricing activities, analyze RFQ data, and coordinate cost solutions across Global, Sector and BU teams.

The role requires strong pricing and costing expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and a focus on timely, cost-effective quotations.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree required; Business Management, Supply Chain or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years in electronics/mechanical procurement or supply chain.
  • APICS or NAPM certification or equivalent experience.

Job Summary

To effectively manage and coordinate all activities related to the New Business Pricing or Quarterly Pricing process. To ensure that incoming quote packages and outgoing costed BOMs or pricing files are being analyzed and managed for timeliness, completeness, and competitiveness.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate leadership skills that provide both our internal & external customers an unparallel level of service and costing solutions.
  • Establish clear measurable goals and objectives by which to determine individual and team results
  • Solicit ongoing feedback from Supply Chain & Business Development on elements that would allow us to become more efficient and cost effective.
  • Effective management of support infrastructure for Quarterly Pricing or New Business activities
  • Contribution towards both the development and deployment of Costing tool sets
  • Maintain weekly communication forums with all direct and indirect team members supporting initiatives
  • Regularly communicate activities and related deliverables.
  • Organize verbal and written ideas clearly and use an appropriate business style.
  • Actively promote best practices across the costing organization
  • Actively involve Global, Sector, and BU resources that will allow us to drive the optimal solution
  • Understand the Corporation/Sectors and the BU’s strategic direction
  • Become an expert in a defined space (understand Customers, Products, Key Commodities, Market Conditions, etc, that are imperative to the business)
  • Provide regular updates to Senior Costing Mgr and relative SCM team members
  • Demonstrate expertise in quoting materials and the appropriate tool sets
  • Support New Customer, Existing Customer, and New Design Material Quotation activities
  • Review quotes and strategy with Commodity Management, Sector Technical Experts, etc, when making sourcing decisions to ensure the best possible outcome.
  • Drive the development of the optimal Cost solution into our Sector & Global Commodity experts.
  • Market Jabil’s Supply Chain Management expertise both internally and externally
  • Develop effective relationships with Business Unit Management to ensure that Supply Chain is fully involved with new business and quarterly pricing activities.
  • Offer new, innovative and entrepreneurial ideas and suggestions for improvement. Identify and implement new practices and processes that are “best in field.”
  • Demonstrate a commitment to customer service; anticipate, meet, and exceed expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively; making customer issues a priority.
  • Ensure the efficient and timely exchange of knowledge and information within the Jabil Corporation to ensure best practices are shared throughout the Jabil organization.
  • Ensure all sensitive and confidential information is handled appropriately
  • Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Role Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Costing Manager - New Business
  • Support New Customer, Existing Customer, and New Design Material Quotation activities
  • Maximize use and ensure cost competitiveness from the Global Quotes resource via regular communication and effective collaboration.
  • Thoroughly analyze RFQ data to ensure most competitive TCO quote package is provided to the requestor.
Costing Manager - Quarterly Pricing
  • Support Existing Customer & New Design Material Quotation and Costing activities
  • Set informed targets for Commodity Management’s quarterly supplier negotiations, provide performance feedback and request explanation behind missed opportunities.
  • Analyze and report materials price statistics for a specific BU.
  • Manage all Customer pricing and ensure data is visible in Jabil’s pricing tools.
  • Negotiate or assign ownership for the negotiation of non Customer and non GCM Managed parts.
  • Review and solution data integrity issues – ie costing fields, AML, sourcing owners etc.
  • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Knowledge Requirements
  • Supply Chain professional with an understanding of a pricing or quoting process
  • Background in either electronic or mechanical material pricing
  • Good communicator and contributor
  • Ability to drive multiple on-going tasks to completion
  • Drive continuous tool and process improvement
  • Strong knowledge of global and regional logistics operations and industry.
  • Strong proficiency in determining logistics requirements to enable company’s business goals and objectives with ability to devise and implement strategy to achieve targets.
  • Strong financial and analytical ability. Proficiency in managing business analytics to determine optimum company footprint.
  • Strong knowledge of international direct and indirect taxes as well as global customs regimes.
  • Proven track record of successful change management accomplishments, implementing and management continuous productivity and cost reduction programs.
  • Strong and convincing communication skills.
  • Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e‑mail skills required.
Education & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain or equivalent discipline preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years work related experience, preferably in electronics or mechanical procurement/supply chain
  • An APICS or NAPM certification
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience.
