Job summary

Molex in El Salto, Jalisco is seeking a Controls Engineer to develop and support automation solutions that connect production equipment with manufacturing systems. Qualifications

• Experience with industrial automation, manufacturing systems, system integration, or OT environments.
• Experience with programming, scripting, or database query languages.
• Experience troubleshooting software, databases, networks, or industrial automation.
• Knowledge of databases, networks, servers, APIs, or system integration.
• Experience documenting technical solutions and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support automation and digital manufacturing solutions that connect production equipment with manufacturing systems and platforms.
• Integrate PLCs, production equipment, industrial communications, and applications to improve system connectivity and data availability.
• Develop and maintain solutions using Ignition, scripting, databases, and data collection technologies.
• Support MES, Opcenter, and other manufacturing system integrations.
• Troubleshoot across multiple technology layers, from machine and PLC communication to applications and databases.
• Improve system reliability by preventing recurring issues, documenting knowledge, and standardizing technical solutions.
• Collaborate with Controls, Manufacturing, Maintenance, IT, and other engineering functions on equipment integration, automation upgrades, production support, and continuous improvement initiatives.
