Oferta confidencial is seeking a Lean Leader to drive Continuous Improvement through Lean and Six Sigma strategies at the plant level. You will lead training and mentoring to embed a culture of CI that improves margins, delivery performance, safety, and reduces variation across operations.

The role requires extensive experience in medical device manufacturing, strong English/Spanish communication, and a proven ability to lead change, coach teams, and coordinate with regional CI leadership across

Formación

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Master's degree in Business or Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • 8+ years of experience in a similar role in the medical device manufacturing industry.
  • Formal training/certification in Lean (5S, Standard work, VSM, Setup Reduction, TPM, LMF) and Six Sigma with at least 8 years related experience.
  • Experience deploying Lean across multiple product environments, sites, and cultures (US, UK, MX).
  • Experience leading others in large medical device manufacturing sites.
  • Excellent English/Spanish communication skills.
  • Proven capability to lead change, negotiate and influence in a team environment.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Visio, Minitab (or other statistical software).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects across multiple sites.
  • Experienced Lean and Six Sigma trainer, mentor and coach.

Responsabilidades

  • Lead the development and implementation of the site Lean and Six Sigma strategy, actions, and cross-functional activities.
  • Ensure site Continuous Improvement training including Lean and Six Sigma; may lead training or delegate.
  • Conduct Operational Excellence System assessments and identify performance gaps.
  • Lead Lean and Six Sigma support across the organization to drive improvements.
  • Utilize Lean and Six Sigma tools to reduce waste, improve customer satisfaction and working capital.
  • Lead the CI team; assist in training, mentoring, Kaizen events, Six Sigma projects and benchmarking.
  • Provide site Lean and Six Sigma mentoring to support talent development and succession planning.
  • Collaborate with Regional/Divisional CI Manager to align with broader strategy and vision.
  • Engage in Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives focusing on continuous improvement.

The Lean Leader leads deployment of Continuous Improvement vision and strategy. Including Lean and Six Sigma process deployment, training, and mentoring at the plant level. Ensures a plant culture of Continuous Improvement and Lean that is then leveraged to drive change. Job duties support the creation and implementation of Lean and Six Sigma strategies, which will lead to improvements in areas such as factory margins, product delivery performance, employee safety and reductions in product/process variation. Note that the primary function of this role includes but is not limited to the manufacturing operations of the plant.

  • Lead the development and implementation of the site Lean and Six Sigma strategy, actions, and cross-functional activities.
  • Ensures site Continuous Improvement training including Lean and Six Sigma training. May personally lead training or delegate to another qualified CI trainer on the team.
  • Conducts Operational Excellence System (OPEX) assessments and identifies performance gaps. Works through the leadership team to prioritize improvement activities and close gaps.
  • Leads Lean and Six Sigma support across the organization to drive short-term and long-term business improvements.
  • Utilizes Lean and Six Sigma tools to eliminate waste driving customer satisfaction, cost reduction, and improved working capital performance.
  • Leads the continuous improvement (Lean and Six Sigma) team. Assists in improvement activities including training, mentoring, facilitating Kaizen events, Six Sigma projects, tool deployment, benchmarking, etc.
  • Provides site Lean and 6 Sigma Mentoring to support of functional talent development and succession planning.
  • Works with Regional/Divisional CI Manager to ensure alignment of plant CI activities to broader functional strategy and vision.
  • Engage others, promote, and participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives, focusing on continuous improvement.
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering from an accredited University.
  • Master’s degree in Business or Engineering from an accredited institution
  • 8+ years experience similar role in medical device manufacturing industry
  • Formal training/certification in Lean (5S,Standard work, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Setup Reduction, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Lean Material Flow (LMF) and 6 Sigma with at least 8 years of related experience.
  • Experience in implementing/deploying Lean in multiple product environments, multiple sites, multiple cultures (US, UK, MX)
  • Experience managing/leading others in large medical device manufacturing sites.
  • Excellent English/Spanish communication skills.
  • Proven capability to lead change, negotiate and influence others in a team environment to complete projects
  • Proficient in Power Point, Visio, Minitab ( or any Statistical software).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/activities across multiple sites.
  • Experienced Lean and 6 Sigma trainer, mentor and coach.
