Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience with tax and payroll specialization.
• Deep knowledge of Mexican tax laws and payroll procedures.
• Proficiency with accounting software and payroll systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy; strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
• Experience in international trade is a plus; must be based in Mexico.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and file federal and state tax returns (ISR, IVA) and other taxes.
• Ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations.
• Manage payroll process including salaries, deductions and social security contributions.
• Reconcile payroll and tax accounts and investigate discrepancies.
• Liaise with tax authorities and respond to inquiries or audits.
• Maintain accurate tax and payroll records and documentation.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Provide analysis and reports on tax and payroll to management.
• Implement and maintain internal controls for tax and payroll processes.
• Support any special tax projects or initiatives as required.
