Avvale is seeking a Senior SAP SD Consultant to support a major SAP rollout in the automotive sector in Mexico. You will implement and localize SAP Sales and Distribution processes, collaborating with stakeholders and the global project team.

You will lead the SD workstream across the project lifecycle, translating business needs into SAP solutions, and coordinating with ABAP and integration teams to ensure smooth cutover and hypercare.

• Participation in at least two full-cycle SAP implementations.
• Fluent in Spanish and proficient in English.
• Willingness to travel to client site in Mexico.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze business requirements and translate into SAP SD solutions.
• Configure core SAP SD processes: orders, pricing, delivery, billing, returns, and master data.
• Support integrations with MM, FI/CO, PP, WM/EWM, TM and data migration activities.
• Prepare specs for enhancements, interfaces, reports, forms, and workflows.
• Work with ABAP developers and integration teams; provide status updates to management.
• Provide support during cutover, go-live, and hypercare; enable user training.

Position Overview

We are looking for a Senior SAP SD Consultant to join a major SAP rollout project for a leading company in the automotive industry.

The consultant will be responsible for the implementation and localization of SAP Sales and Distribution processes in Mexico, working closely with business stakeholders, key users, and the global project team.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the SAP SD workstream throughout the project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, fit-to-standard and fit-gap analysis, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.

Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP SD solutions.

Configure and support core SAP SD processes, including:

• Sales orders


• Pricing and discounts


• Delivery and shipping


• Picking and packing


• Billing and invoicing


• Returns, credit notes, and debit notes


• Customer master data


• Intercompany sales


• Third-party and consignment processes

Support Mexico-specific requirements, including electronic invoicing and relevant fiscal and localization processes.

Prepare functional specifications for enhancements, interfaces, reports, forms, and workflows.

Work closely with ABAP developers and integration teams.

Support integrations between SAP SD and other modules, especially MM, FI/CO, PP, WM/EWM, and TM.

Participate in data migration activities, including data validation and reconciliation.

Prepare and execute unit tests, integration tests, regression tests, and User Acceptance Testing.

Support key-user training and preparation of functional documentation.

Manage defects, monitor resolution, and provide clear status updates to project management.

Provide support during cutover, go-live, and hypercare.

Collaborate with global and local teams in a multicultural environment.

Required Qualifications

Solid professional experience as an SAP SD Functional Consultant.

Participation in at least two full-cycle SAP implementation or rollout projects.

Strong knowledge of SAP SD configuration and end-to-end Order-to-Cash processes.

Experience With SAP S/4HANA Is Required.

Good understanding of integration between SAP SD and FI/CO, MM, PP, WM/EWM, and related modules.

Experience preparing functional specifications and working with technical teams.

Experience with testing, data migration, cutover, and go-live support.

Ability to engage with business stakeholders and translate business requirements into SAP solutions.

Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Fluent Spanish and professional working proficiency in English.

Availability to travel to the client’s site in Mexico during critical project phases.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry.

Experience with global template rollouts and Mexico localization.

Knowledge of automotive processes, including scheduling agreements, EDI, intercompany transactions, and customer-specific logistics requirements.

Experience with SAP Activate methodology and agile project environments.

SAP S/4HANA certification is considered an advantage.

Location and Travel

The position is based in Mexico. The consultant must be available to travel to the client’s site during critical phases, particularly workshops, testing, cutover, go-live, and hypercare.
