Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Feature Specialist for the OEM Connected Vehicle Team in Mexico. The role focuses on connected services, vehicle access, start and security VoC, and test planning across mobile apps, websites, and in-vehicle systems.

You will own test plans, maintain functional objectives, triage issues, support ride events, and lead benchmarking in areas like FOTA, Vehicle Access/Start, and Vehicle Security.

Formación

  • BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • At least 3 years in vehicle integration and validation; ADAS/Connectivity/Telematics is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of operating architecture, use cases, and software life cycle.
  • Experience with vehicle connectivity design and/or testing; DV/PV knowledge.

Responsabilidades

  • Own functional objective library and create test plans and procedures.
  • Support cross-functional teams to develop features within the domain.
  • Triaging issues and supporting ride-along events; write end-to-end test plans.
  • Lead benchmarking activities and document both functional and dysfunctional behavior.

Your role

The OEM Connected Vehicle Team is revolutionizing the vehicle ownership experience through the invention of software products delivered to Uconnect customers through a variety of digital touchpoints including mobile apps, websites, and in-vehicle infotainment systems. The team is seeking candidates that will be responsible for Connected Services, Vehicle Access, Start, & Security voice of the customer (VoC) development, customer functional objectives target setting, and feature test plan creation.

  • The Feature Specialist will support the vehicle integration and validation process by owning and maintaining functional objective library, creating test plans and procedures, supporting tech club, and working alongside the cross functional teams to develop new features within their domain.
  • The Feature Specialist also support the Platform Engineers in triaging issues found on vehicle that fall into their domain as well as support any required ride and drive events. They will define and describe both functional and dysfunctional behavior, perform appropriate risk analysis (HARA) and be responsible for writing end-to-end test plans.
  • The specialist will also lead benchmarking activities for their domain. Domain Areas: FOTA, Vehicle Access/Start, Vehicle Security/Theft, Remote Operations, Regulatory/Safety, Connected EV
  • Core feature owner/CFO library owner/author
  • Test Plan and Procedure creator & owner
  • Support issue resolution, triage, testing, for their specific domain
Your profile
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited program
  • 3 years of vehicle integration and validation experience or equivalent. If good expert in ADAS/Connectivity/Telematics Performance, then below 3 years can also be considered.
  • Strong understanding of operational architecture, defining use cases, vehicle and software life cycle
  • Experience with vehicle connectivity design and/or testing
  • Working knowledge of FMEA, design validation (DV) and process validation (PV) (DVPR), and test planning
  • Strong desire to understand customer wants and vehicle development program. Demonstrated communication skills (written and oral). Strategic thinker. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to summarize and present work. Proven ability to deliver in a fast-paced work environment with minimum assistance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited university
  • Previous experience in feature design, system design or integration
  • DFSS Green Belt
