A leading personal care company in Mexico City seeks a Finance professional to manage trade investments and ensure financial compliance. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in finance, strong analytical skills, and fluent English communication. This role is hybrid and offers the chance to work alongside diverse teams in a dynamic environment.

Formación

  • At least 5 Years of experience in Finance.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Sales Controller.
  • Commercial experience, Trade Marketing experience, Finance and accounting principles knowledge.

Responsabilidades

  • Ensure strict control of Deflator with full visibility.
  • Lead analysis to support the commercial team in trade spend management.
  • Provide monthly reporting for credit notes versus deflator accruals.

Position Summary

Ensure full control and effective investment of Deflator (or Trade Investment)/Gross to Net. Evaluate the commercial and financial impact of the promotional grid and trade activities to course correct and guarantee trade investment optimization. Additional ensure that all the investment has the correct support, quantification, and ensure the End-to-end process until concluding the promotional activities.

Universal Accountabilities
  • Ensure strict control of Deflator (Trade Investment), with full visibility by channel, retail environment, and customer, including monthly reporting, variance analysis, and corrective action plans.
  • Lead analysis to recommend and support the commercial team in managing, reducing, and optimizing trade spend resources.
  • Ensure accurate Deflator accrual management, monitoring balances against trade investment activities, and highlighting risks/opportunities.
  • Follow up accruals and reverses according to the trade investment planning.
  • Provide monthly reporting to review credit notes versus deflator accruals.
  • Validate and approve all support for new initiatives of Trade Investment to ensure consistency between documentation and investment objectives.
  • Ensure that all settlements have the proper support and customer reconciliation before approving discounts.
  • Monitor Deflator accounts closely in partnership with Accounting and AR to guarantee proper reconciliation, compliance, and closure.
  • Review and calculate ROI & post mortem analysis for top trade investment initiatives, to drive business learnings.
  • Act as guardian of Trade Spend governance, ensuring policies, internal controls, and audit readiness are in place, aligned with multinational FMCG best practices.
Required Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree: Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineer.
  • Commercial experience, Trade Marketing experience, Finance and accounting principles knowledge.
  • Administrative or Finance Degree.
  • At least 5 Years of experience in Finance.
  • At least 2 years of experience Sales Controller.
  • Fluent English Conversation and Written Communication.
  • Strong change management capabilities.
  • High self-motivation skills.

  • Experience in CPG/FMCG companies.
