Job Overview
NTT DATA seeks an experienced Cloud Architect (GCP) Remote to join the team in Mexico, México (MX-MEX). The role is part of our Digital Engineering practice and requires a deep knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its services, including Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Anthos.

- Do you have a GCP Solution Architect certification? Yes – it is required.
- Required experience: 8+ years in cloud architecture, especially on GCP.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design and implement complex GCP solutions encompassing compute, networking, storage, identity, security, cost optimisation, disaster recovery, and migration.
- Lead large‑scale cloud transformation programs: assessment, business case creation, design, build, migration planning and execution.
- Deploy and manage GKE clusters, Anthos Service Mesh, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, and other GCP services.
- Architect multi‑environment (production, staging, QA, dev) infrastructures that operate 24/7.
- Write and maintain comprehensive cloud architecture documentation and deployment guides.
- Collaborate with application architects, DevOps teams and business stakeholders to modernise applications to PaaS and to automate cloud operations.
- Provide consultative support for DevOps and incident management to enhance reliability, availability, scalability, and performance.
- Champion cloud automation, IaC (Terraform, Ansible) and adopt industry best practices.
- Ensure solutions satisfy security and compliance controls including data sovereignty.
- Develop proof‑of‑concepts for new or evolving customer requirements.
Essential Qualifications
- Expertise in GCP architecture, compute, network, storage, identity, security, DR, migration, cost optimisation.
- Deep working knowledge of Anthos, GKE, GKE‑managed workloads, Kubernetes concepts, and microservices.
- GCP Solution Architect Certification – mandatory.
- Strong hands‑on experience with Terraform, Ansible, Bash, Python, and CI/CD pipelines.
- ICTIL service delivery knowledge is a plus. ITIL certification desired.
- Certification as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to work directly with global customers and cross‑functional teams.
- Proficiency in cloud cost governance, monitoring, logging, and alerting.

- PowerShell on GCP, Terraform Enterprise, CI/CD pipelines (Git, Artifactory, Jenkins, Docker registry).
- Monitoring, logging, alerting – Cloud Operations Suite and third‑party tools.

- Design production‑grade GCP architected solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Deliver enterprise‑level conceptual solutions and support global application deployments.
- Understand application, database, infrastructure, and enterprise architecture disciplines.
- Identify and implement best practices, tools, and standards across the cloud stack.
- Drive system reliability, performance, scalability and cost‑effectiveness for GCP deployments.
- Automate cloud operations, orchestration and environment security.
