Formación

  • Active undergraduate student in Marketing, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Enrolled between the 6th and 9th semester with expected graduation July 2026 or later.
  • Minimum 6 months availability; 1 year preferred.
  • On-site availability at Ricardo Margain offices in San Pedro Garza García.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, VBA, Word, PowerPoint, Power Apps, Power BI).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in Spanish and English.
  • Highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented with strong interpersonal and time-management skills.
  • Open to learning new skills and concepts.

Program Details

Name of the Project: Compensation and Benefits Intern

Vice Presidency: Digital & Organization Development

Region: Central

Intern’s Location (Office): Margain Offices

Eligible Semester(s): 6th-9th semester

Careers of Interest: Industrial and Systems Engineering, Talent Development and Organizational Culture, Business, Business Administration, Information Technology Engineering, Data Science, International Business.

Schedule Availability: Between 25 and 30 hours per week

Period of Stay at CEMEX: 6 months, with the option of renewal

Tentative Start Date: August 2026

Detailed Description Of The Project

Support the Compensation & Benefits team in the development, administration, and promotion of initiatives focused on enhancing the employee value proposition. The intern will be responsible for the active search and management of agreements with external providers, database analysis and development, as well as supporting the planning and execution of employee benefits-related events.

Project Objective
  • Support the management, communication, creation, and follow‑up of benefits providers, as well as the development of databases for the area.
  • Support the planning and execution of the Benefits Fair.
Challenges for the Student

  • Communicate with external vendors and service providers.
  • Develop new professional skills.
  • Build relationships with different departments and supervisors at various organizational levels.
  • Learn and use new digital tools.
  • Work with multidisciplinary teams.
Main Responsibilities And Activities To Be Carried Out
Vendor Management and External Relations
  • Conduct proactive searches for new partnerships with universities, gyms, restaurants, financial institutions, recreational centers, and other service providers.
  • Follow up on existing agreements and manage renewals when necessary.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and expand the benefits portfolio.
  • Coordinate and follow up on meetings and communications with internal and external stakeholders.
Database Development and Administration
  • Design, update, and maintain databases related to benefits, vendors, and employees.
  • Generate reports, metrics, and analyses to support decision‑making within the area.
  • Support process automation through digital tools.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and accuracy.
Data Analysis and Digitalization
  • Develop dashboards and reports using Excel (VBA), Power BI, and other analytical tools.
  • Maintain digital tools built in Power Apps.
  • Support the identification of trends and opportunities through data analysis.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and digital transformation projects within the area.
Events and Communication
  • Support the planning, logistics, and execution of the Benefits Fair and other employee events.
  • Coordinate promotional materials and communications for benefits campaigns.
  • Collaborate with Internal Communications and Human Resources teams to maximize employee participation.
Specific Requirements / Qualifications
Soft skills and competencies
  • Active undergraduate student in Marketing, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
