A global engineering company in Apodaca, Nuevo León, seeks a Procurement Specialist to develop and implement procurement strategies. You'll manage supplier relationships, negotiate agreements, and ensure quality and cost-effectiveness in sourcing electro-mechanical devices. Candidates should have over 5 years of experience in sourcing or procurement and an advanced level of English. Knowledge of SAP and experience with RFQs are essential for success in this role.

This Position reports to: Procurement Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop, plan, and implement procurement strategy focused on optimizing costs, quality, delivery, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products for an assigned category or group of categories. Each day, you will ensure execution in accordance with company, procurement, and supply base management instructions and procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by recommending frame agreements to management and executing upon approval.

The work model for the role is: #L-onsite

This role is contributing to the ELDS P&L Sourcing Electro Mechanical Devices in Monterrey N.L. Mexico . Main stakeholders are Electrification Team and Direct Materials related.

• Leveraging the Continuous Improvement Process Sourcing process for implementing effective sourcing strategies in line with business strategy and ensuring that the supply base/suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements.
• Managing planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, emerging country spending, and savings forecasts.
• Negotiating agreements with main suppliers, and periodically renews price lists and terms and conditions.
• Ensuring identification, investigation, and selection of appropriate suppliers (focusing on quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability) in accordance with company policies.

Qualifications for the role

• Knowledge in sourcing strategies for Electro Mechanical Devices, Cost reduction projects, improving supplier Payterm, Supplier sustainability ecovadis, Develop local supplier sources, Tactical requirements and the ELDS market.
• +5 years of experience in Sourcing, Supply chain and/or Procurement and managing similar categories (electrical, electronic, or electromechanical components).
• Proven experience managing Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes and e-auctions for direct materials.
• Possess an enhanced knowledge of SAP, Ariba, Ecovadis, SFDB, Microsoft Office.
• You are captivated by creating commercial relation with suppliers, Improving cost, adaptability and Critical thinking
• Extensive knowledge and Proven experience Working in Sourcing/Procurement/supply Chain.
• Advanced English level.
