John Crane, a Smiths Group division, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to deliver engineered-to-order mechanical sealing design services to Global Engineering and site offices. You will use Solid Edge to create General Arrangement and manufacturing drawings, and ensure error-free designs.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 1–2 years' design experience, knowledge of GD&T, and strong communication.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1–2 years of experience in a design office handling precision components.
• Experience with CAD software, preferably Solid Edge (3D/2D).
• Knowledge of engineering design and manufacturing techniques.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and learning from mistakes.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and work under minimal supervision.
• Knowledge of fits, tolerances, and GD&T.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong computer skills, especially MS Office.

Responsabilidades

• Review drawing office requests and establish design requirements.
• Prepare error-free General Arrangement and manufacturing drawings in Solid Edge.
• Execute quality self-checks on drawings.
• Submit monthly performance reports to Supervisor.
• Meet business expectations for quality, cost and delivery.
• Promote First Time Right culture in Drawing Office.
• Support site technical offices and Global Engineering.
