Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Business, Engineering, or related field is required.
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications and knowledge of SAP MM Modules is preferred.
  • High technical and quality knowledge relevant to raw materials and processes needed.

What will you do?
  • Responsible for total Purchasing Volume of assigned material families e.g. Fuses, Wire, Cables, Meters, Distributors, Terminal Blocs, CT‑VTs or others commodities according to candidate profile.
  • Develop strategies for the responsible Commodity groups in order to ensure the correct supply base for the business.
  • Dual source development as required by the Commodity strategy.
  • Achieve the committed objectives for the Commodity in terms of productivity e.g. price savings and technology change, payment terms, logistic performance, quality requirements by negotiations and considering supplier innovations.
  • Drive initiatives for cost reductions and cost avoidance.
  • Correct implementation of digitalization in all key/strategic suppliers in their commodity group.
  • Sourcing activities and execution for supply base implementation according to the Commodity strategy conceived – RFQ, Comparison, ToCo, Sourcing Committee, supplier negotiations.
  • In‑sourcing and Out‑sourcing activities taking always into consideration the requirements & suppliers of other Siemens locations in the Americas for synergy proposes.
  • Drives the Supplier risk categorization, evaluation and development in conjunction with the cross functional team members such as Engineering, Logistics, Quality and Procurement.
  • Implementation and execution of the Procurement processes for their commodity (Locally, Regionally and Globally) ensuring the accuracy on the responses / answers to any.
  • Drive supplier developments and support execution of supplier audits.
  • Engineering Changes Notices (Revisions) involved in their commodity.
  • Support in the invoice process and payments.
What will you need to succeed?
  • Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration, International Business, Engineering, Economics, Electrical Engineering).
  • Negotiation skills and strong problem‑solving skills.
  • High Technical Knowledge (Norms, Drawings Interpretation, Raw Materials).
  • Quality Knowledge (Processes).
  • Management of internal and cross functional teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications.
  • SAP MM Modules knowledge will be an asset.
  • Analytical Thinking.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork, Time Management and Prioritization.
