A leading manufacturing firm in Ramos Arizpe is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Manager to develop sourcing strategies and manage supplier relationships. The ideal candidate should have 5–8 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the automotive sector. Responsibilities include negotiating contracts, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving continuous cost savings initiatives. Proficiency in SAP and a strong command of English are required. This role offers a chance to impact supply chain strategies significantly.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management
    • Develop and execute category and sourcing strategies aligned with company objectives.
    • Identify, evaluate, and approve suppliers globally, ensuring compliance with technical, quality, and sustainability standards.
    • Conduct supplier audits and performance assessments in collaboration with Engineering, Quality, and Logistics teams.
    • Lead supplier localization and cost‑optimization initiatives.
  • Contract & Price Negotiation
    • Lead complex negotiations on prices, terms, and conditions for long‑term agreements.
    • Analyze market trends, commodity prices, and global supply risks to inform sourcing decisions.
    • Develop and manage supplier contracts, ensuring legal and commercial compliance.
    • Achieve measurable cost savings and continuous cost‑improvement initiatives.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration
    • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Finance departments to align sourcing activities with operational needs.
    • Participate in product development projects, ensuring early supplier involvement and cost transparency.
    • Provide input on make-or-buy decisions and supplier risk assessments.
  • Supplier Relationship & Development
    • Build and maintain strong, trust‑based relationships with key suppliers.
    • Drive supplier development programs focusing on quality, delivery performance, and innovation.
    • Manage supplier escalations and ensure timely resolution of issues.
    • Support sustainability and ESG objectives through responsible sourcing initiatives.
  • Governance & Reporting
    • Ensure full compliance with company procurement policies, ethical guidelines, and legal standards.
    • Maintain accurate supplier and contract data in ERP/procurement systems.
    • Prepare management reports and KPIs on sourcing activities, savings, and supplier performance.
Qualification
  • Education
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in strategic purchasing, preferably within the automotive industry or other complex manufacturing environments.
    • Proven track record in supplier negotiations, contract management, and cost reduction initiatives.
    • Experience working with global supply chains and cross‑functional teams.
  • Technical Skills
    • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, technical specifications, and cost structures.
    • Proficiency in SAP and procurement systems.
    • Excellent command of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Languages
    • Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages (e.g., German) are an advantage.
