Tekshapers is seeking a Business Analyst to ensure our solutions meet customer needs. You will author requirements and partner with product development to deliver new features on time, while bridging gaps between Technical Support and other teams.

You will translate business problems into clear specifications, document artifacts, and facilitate cross-functional communication. The role requires a degree and strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Interpersonal skills to facilitate interactions between stakeholders to resolve conflict and aid in requirement prioritization.
• Communication skills to effectively express ideas and document elicitation results, requirements, and other information for long-term records.
• Personal organization skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsabilidades

• Elicits, generates, and refines product requirements for new and existing system functionality
• Researches and masters current system design to contribute towards solutions analysis
• Champions tactical product design decisions to maximize ROI
• Documents requirements into design specifications within the software development lifecycle
• Facilitates cross-functional communication between internal stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle
• Provides regular project status updates to external stakeholders
• Presents oral and written reports of successes, problems, and resolutions to management
• Executes product and business-related ad hoc projects

The Business Analyst serves as a subject matter expert, ensuring our solution meets the needs of our customers and that our teams have the knowledge they need. They author requirements and partner with product development and others in the organization to ensure the timely delivery of new features and other updates. The Business Analyst also acts as a liaison and product expert between Technical Support and other internal organizations that need to understand the complexities of the solution.

Primary Responsibilities

• Applies analytical skills to define root causes to business problems
• Elicits, generates, and refines product requirements for new and existing system functionality
• Research, understand, and master current system design and architecture to develop product knowledge and contribute towards solutions analysis
• Champions tactical product design decisions to maximize return on investment
• Documents requirements into software development lifecycle artifacts, such as design specifications
• Facilitates cross-functional communication between internal stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle
• Provides regular project status updates to relevant external stakeholders
• Presents oral and written reports of successes, problems, and resolutions to appropriate levels of management
• Executes product and business-related ad hoc projects

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college/university in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Interpersonal skills to facilitate interactions between stakeholders to resolve conflict and aid in requirement prioritization
• Communication skills to effectively express ideas in ways that are appropriate for the target audience and to document elicitation results, requirements, and other information for which medium to long-term records are required
• Personal organization skills to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Preferred

• Experience in user interface design and mock-up creation
• Experience using software applications to document requirements and model designs to support development of products.
