Princess Cruises is seeking a Buffet Steward for a fixed term contract aboard a ship servicing guests from around the world. The role requires solid buffet service experience and full command of English, with duties including setup, service, and knowledge of menus, bar and wine lists.

Expect to work in a dynamic, onboard environment with opportunities for growth, training in USPH sanitation, and a competitive salary package.

Formación

• Minimum of one year of food and beverage experience.
• Attendance at a recognized hotel/catering school is required.
• Must understand USPH sanitation course requirements and environmental regulations.
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of POS systems.
• Fluency in English (verbal and written).

Responsabilidades

• Provides excellent quality food & beverage service to guests in assigned areas as instructed by F&B Management.
• Responsible for setup and breakdown in designated areas as instructed by Management.
• Shows full knowledge of Restaurant menus, bar and wine lists.
• Assists briefings before service.
• Knows cocktail recipes and is familiar with promotional sales or beverage packages.
• Maintains cleanliness and overall look of the venue to high standards.
• Reports complaints or problems regarding drinks, food, or service to the supervisor.
• Performs any duties assigned by supervisors and senior management.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides excellent quality food & beverage service to all guests in assigned areas, as instructed by the Food & Beverage Management.
• Responsible for the setup and breakdown in designated areas, as instructed by the Management.
• Shows full knowledge of the Restaurant menus, bar and wine lists.
• Assists briefings before service.
• Knows cocktail recipes and is familiar with promotional sales or beverage packages.
• Ensures that designated areas are clean and maintains the overall look of the venue to the high expected standards.
• Reports any complaints or problems regarding drinks, food, or service in the assigned areas to the supervisor.
• Performs any duty assigned by supervisors and other senior management.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Communicates well and interacts with a variety of passengers demographics.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• Minimum one year of food and beverage experience and attendance at a recognized hotel/catering school.
• Must attend USPH sanitation courses and understand environmental regulations that pertain to the individual’s area of work
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of P.O.S. systems
• Command of the English language, both verbal and written.
