Relay Human Cloud está buscando un Tax Manager bilingüe para supervisar la revisión de declaraciones de impuestos federales y estatales de EE.UU., asegurando exactitud y cumplimiento, y actuando como enlace entre el departamento de contabilidad y la firma externa de impuestos.

Se gestionan entidades como LLCs y LLPs; se mantendrán registros fiscales y se ayudarán en auditorías, con foco en plazos y precisión.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
  • CPA or Master's in Taxation is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in U.S. corporate tax, public accounting, or tax compliance.
  • Experience reviewing federal and state income tax returns.
  • Experience working with pass-through entities (LLCs, LLPs, partnerships).
  • Experience coordinating with external accounting firms.
  • Strong understanding of: U.S. Federal Income Tax
  • State tax filings (including Texas Franchise Tax)
  • Schedule K-1 reporting
  • Depreciation schedules
  • Pass-through entity taxation
  • IRS filing requirements
  • Tax documentation and compliance
  • 100% of assigned tax returns reviewed before filing deadlines.
  • Minimal review errors identified after submission.
  • Timely resolution of tax discrepancies with external advisors.
  • Accurate maintenance of tax inventory records.
  • Complete and organized tax documentation and workpapers.
  • Compliance with IRS and state filing requirements.

Responsabilidades

  • Review approximately 100 U.S. federal and state tax returns annually for multiple entities (LLCs, LLPs).
  • Monitor the designated network folder daily for newly received tax returns from the external tax firm.
  • Maintain and update the tax return inventory (entity information, return type, filing deadlines, extension status, tax due/refund, Schedule K-1).
  • Review tax returns for entity information, filing status, income, deductions, tax credits, depreciation schedules against internal records, and federal/state filings.
  • Identify discrepancies, missing information, or inconsistencies and communicate findings to the external tax firm and Controller.
  • Track outstanding tax issues through resolution to ensure timely completion.
  • Ensure all tax returns are finalized before statutory deadlines.
  • Prepare and maintain organized workpapers supporting the review process.
  • Maintain tax documentation and correspondence per company policies and IRS retention requirements.
  • Assist during audits by providing organized documentation and supporting schedules.
  • Continuously improve tax review processes and documentation standards.

Educación

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field
CPA or Master's in Taxation is preferred

Descripción del trabajo Bilingual Tax Manager

The Tax Manager is responsible for reviewing and validating U.S. federal and state tax returns prepared by external tax advisors to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely filing. This role serves as the primary liaison between the company's Controller and the external tax firm, maintaining detailed tax records, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring all tax filings comply with federal and state regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review approximately 100 U.S. federal and state tax returns annually for multiple legal entities, including LLCs and LLPs.
  • Monitor the designated network folder daily for newly received tax returns from the external tax firm.
  • Maintain and update the tax return inventory, including:
    • Entity information
    • Return type
    • Filing deadlines and extension status
    • Tax due or refund amounts
    • Schedule K-1 recipients
  • Review tax returns for:
    • Entity information and filing status
    • Income, deductions, and tax credits
    • Tax depreciation schedules compared against internal accounting records
    • Federal and state filing accuracy
  • Identify discrepancies, missing information, or inconsistencies and communicate findings directly to the external tax firm while keeping the Controller informed.
  • Track outstanding tax issues through resolution to ensure timely completion.
  • Ensure all tax returns are finalized before statutory filing deadlines.
  • Prepare and maintain organized workpapers supporting the review process.

Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field.
  • CPA or Master's in Taxation is preferred.
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in U.S. corporate tax, public accounting, or tax compliance.
  • Experience reviewing federal and state income tax returns.
  • Experience working with pass-through entities (LLCs, LLPs, partnerships).
  • Experience coordinating with external accounting firms.
