The responsibility of the Instructional Designer is to design, develop, test, and deliver course development projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Define and document learning objectives.
- Create instructional material: eLearning and instructor‑led courses, curriculum, student guides or training manuals.
- Design content to optimize learning.
- Generate the layout of the learning supports.
- Redesign content to ensure it matches the learner's needs.
- Create visual, audio and interactive learning tools.
- Design project‑oriented internal and client‑driven project solutions.
- Create and review project storyboards.
- Implement project storyboards into agreed‑upon modality utilizing state‑of‑the‑art development tools and methodologies.
- Ensure projects meet agreed‑upon requirements.
- Maintain proficiency in a broad spectrum of eLearning development technologies.
- Manage QA, development, voice talent, and editorial review activities as required by project.
Skills Required
- 3+ years experience in the design, development, and deployment of online courses and training.
- Experience developing courses using authoring tools (e.g., Adobe Captivate, Articulate 360, Articulate Storyline, Articulate Rise, etc.).
- Solid eLearning development process creation and management for interactive modules, videos, live online classes, and other learning assets.
- Ability to think strategically and holistically to manage a product from end‑to‑end.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively as an individual contributor and team member.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, work independently, and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent English writing and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to take initiative, set priorities, and exercise good judgement in a fast‑paced, dynamic, and driven environment.
- Demonstrate the ability to problem solve and suggest creative learning solutions.
- Ability to work in a team environment with colleagues, external clients, and SMEs.
- Ability to manage projects.
Education Required
- Bachelor's degree in Adult Education, Instructional Design, or equivalent experience.
Education Preferred
- Master's degree in Adult Education, Instructional Design, or equivalent experience.
