Job summary

Jabil in Mexico is seeking an Automation & Validation Intern to gain hands-on experience in equipment automation, semi-automated upgrades, vision systems, and validation activities within a manufacturing setting.

You will support testing, data collection, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Validation, Quality, and Manufacturing teams while developing practical technical skills.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electromechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of automation, controls, sensors, vision systems, robotics, or equipment validation is preferred.
• Academic projects or internships are an advantage but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support automation improvement and equipment upgrade projects.
• Assist with equipment testing, data collection, troubleshooting, and technical evaluations.
• Support the preparation and execution of validation protocols and related documentation.
• Assist with the integration or improvement of sensors, controls, vision systems, and semi-automated equipment.
• Maintain project documentation and follow established safety, quality, and operational requirements.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Validation, Quality, and Manufacturing teams.
• Provide follow‑up to assigned activities and communicate project progress or identified issues.

Job Summary

The Automation & Validation Intern supports improvement projects related to equipment automation, semi-automated system upgrades, vision systems, and validation activities. This role provides hands‑on experience in a manufacturing environment while supporting technical documentation, equipment testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Education & Experience

Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electromechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automation Engineering, or a related field. Basic knowledge of automation, controls, sensors, vision systems, robotics, or equipment validation is preferred. Previous academic projects, technical training, or internship experience is an advantage but not required.
