About The Job

The Bastien Therapist (Nail Technician) is responsible for delivering exceptional manicure, pedicure, and specialized nail care treatments while ensuring the highest standards of guest service, hygiene, professionalism, and retail performance.

As a key ambassador of the Bastien Gonzalez concept, this role creates personalized wellness experiences through expert treatments, product recommendations, and meaningful guest interactions. The Bastien Therapist is expected to uphold all Spa and resort standards, anticipate guest needs, and contribute to the overall success of the Spa through service excellence and revenue generation.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver all assigned Bastien manicure, pedicure, hand, foot, and nail care treatments according to established Spa protocols and brand standards.
• Execute all treatments with confidence, consistency, precision, and attention to detail.
• Conduct guest consultations to identify individual needs, preferences, expectations, and suitable treatment recommendations.
• Ensure every guest receives a personalized, engaging, and memorable Spa experience.
• Recommend and promote Spa services, treatments, wellness experiences, and retail products that complement guest needs.
• Achieve individual retail sales and service revenue objectives.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of all Spa services, products, and wellness offerings.
• Maintain accurate guest treatment records and update guest profiles as required.
• Prepare, sanitize, and maintain treatment stations, tools, equipment, and products in accordance with established hygiene and safety protocols.
• Ensure treatment areas remain clean, organized, and presentation-ready throughout the day.
• Verify the quality, presentation, storage conditions, and expiration dates of professional and retail products.
• Monitor inventory levels and notify Spa leadership of stock replenishment requirements.
• Participate actively in daily line-ups, trainings, and departmental meetings.
• Support the onboarding and development of new team members when required.
• Foster positive working relationships with colleagues and collaborate effectively with other resort departments.
• Promote awareness of the Bastien Studio concept, products, and services throughout the resort.
• Maintain professional grooming standards and a polished appearance at all times.
• Consistently comply with Forbes Travel Guide, LQA, One&Only, and departmental service standards.
• Protect guest privacy and maintain confidentiality of all guest and company information.
• Contribute to the achievement of departmental financial goals and operational objectives.
• Demonstrate a professional, positive, and solution-oriented attitude toward guests and colleagues.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality, guest satisfaction, and team performance.

Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements

• Certification in Nail Technology, Manicure, Pedicure, Cosmetology, or a related field required.
• Professional Manicure & Pedicure Certification required
• Completion of all company-required technical and service training programs.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nail Technician, Beauty Therapist, or Spa Therapist in a luxury spa, wellness center, luxury hotel, or resort environment.
• Strong understanding of hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards.
• Knowledge of luxury wellness and Spa operations.
• Ability to perform expert guest consultations and provide personalized recommendations.
• Knowledge of professional nail care products, tools, and equipment.
• Basic inventory management and product control knowledge.
