Job summary

Etéreo, Auberge Collection on Mexico’s Riviera Maya seeks a Bartender to execute daily bar operations and deliver courteous, efficient service to our luxury resort guests.

You will assist guests with beverage preparation, manage bar, pool, and restaurant service, ensure adherence to Auberge standards, and help maximize beverage sales through knowledge of drinks and promotions while inputting orders in the Micros system and handling payments accurately.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in luxury establishments preferred.
• Knowledge of beverages including coffee, cocktails, liqueurs and spirits.
• Fluent english communication is required.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced service environment.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests with beverage and drink preparation, bar, pool, and restaurant service.
• Maintain high quality service with attentive guest interaction.
• Comply with Auberge standards for Bar and Restaurant outlets.
• Contribute to beverage sales by knowledge of drinks, specials, and prices.

Job Description

Join our team as Bartender and become one of the authors of our story. As part of the Auberge family, you will be responsible for execution of the daily operations of the bar while ensuring guest satisfaction by providing a highly efficient and courteous service.

• Primarily responsible for assisting guests in beverage and drink preparation, servicing of the bar, pool area and the restaurant in an efficient and timely manner.
• Relate with guests about needs, satisfaction with the beverage and drinks, ensuring a consistently caring and high quality service.
• Comply with Auberge standards in use within the Bar and Restaurant outlets.
• Contribute in improving the F&B sales revenues by being knowledgeable about drinks, cocktails, spirits and other menu items, specials and prices.
• Accurately and quickly take and place orders and input them into the Micros system ensuring correct timing and billing.
• Prepare the guest check accurately and collect payment or signature, as required.
• Clean, clear and reset tables as needed.
• Operate, maintain and properly clean all bar equipment and fittings.
• Ensure that serving bar is well‑stocked at all times.
• Use safe food handling procedures and maintain a safe‑working environment by using proper food handling skills and food safety guidelines.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
• Develop and form positive relationships with guests and team members, whilst remaining professional and service orientated at all times.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar position, preferably in luxury establishments
• Good knowledge of beverage preparation, including coffee, cocktail, liqueurs and spirits
• Ability to communicate fluently in English
• Ability to multitask and perform efficiently in a fast paced service environment.
