Improving South America seeks a highly skilled Back-End Engineer to design, build, and optimize mission-critical backend systems in a modern Azure- and .NET-based environment. This role targets complex, high-scale architectures and emphasizes robust observability, security, and cost efficiency.

You will develop back-end services, deploy MCP servers, and implement AI-assisted workflows while leveraging Azure services, REST APIs, and modern best practices.

Formación

• Proficient in back-end and cloud development.
• Experience with Azure-native apps incl. Service Bus, Cosmos DB, SQL, Storage.
• Strong observability with OpenTelemetry and Serilog.
• Knowledge of authentication (Auth0, OIDC/OAuth2) and Managed Identity.
• Experience with multi-region, always-on systems and performance tuning.

We are seeking a highly skilled Back-End Engineer to design, build, and optimize mission-critical backend systems in a modern Azure- and .NET-based environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex, high-scale architectures.

What You'll Do Day To Day

• Develop and maintain back-end services and integrations, leveraging REST APIs, Azure services, and modern development best practices
• Design, deploy, and manage MCP servers while developing agentic workflows
• Implement strong observability, including logging, metrics, and tracing with Azure Application Insights, OpenTelemetry, and Serilog
• Optimize application and database performance; plan for scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency
• Participate in planning, troubleshooting, and operational readiness for always-on, multi-region systems

Required Qualifications

• Back-End & Cloud Development
• Expert-level experience with C# / .NET, including Web API and isolated Azure Functions
• Strong knowledge of asynchronous programming, concurrency patterns, and dependency injection
• Hands-on experience building Azure-native applications, including:
• Azure Service Bus (topics, subscriptions, sessions, idempotency, at-least-once processing)
• Azure SQL (performance tuning, indexing, migrations)
• Cosmos DB (RU management, partitioning, indexing, change feed)
• Azure Storage (Blob, SAS tokens, private endpoints / network hardening)

AI & Agentic Workflows

• Design, deploy, and manage MCP servers while developing agentic workflows
• Experience with GitHub Copilot for AI-assisted development, and with Azure AI Foundry or AWS Bedrock

Observability & Monitoring

• Skilled with OpenTelemetry (counters, histograms, traces), Serilog, Azure Monitor, and KQL query writing Security
• Knowledge of Auth0, OIDC/OAuth2, JWT/refresh tokens, Managed Identity, and Azure Key Vault

Security

• Knowledge of Auth0, OIDC/OAuth2, JWT/refresh tokens, Managed Identity, and Azure Key Vault

Other Required Experience

• Proven ability to support multi-region, always-on systems, with a clear understanding of RPO/RTO, failover, throttling, and backoff strategies
• Metrics-driven engineering mindset (P50/P95 latency, throughput, cost-performance tradeoffs)

Nice to have

• Familiarity with workflows in highly regulated environments (e.g., financial, SEC/FINRA)
• Experience with advanced queue orchestration patterns (token buckets, rendezvous hashing, pointer-based systems)
