Job summary

GE Aerospace in Mexico is seeking an Avionics Systems Engineer to develop, integrate, verify, and validate avionics systems against defined requirements. You will create system requirements, plan hardware tests in the lab, and analyze results with cross-functional teams, working with a technical lead to manage deliverables.

This role requires a degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering, hands-on lab experience, and proficiency with scripting languages like Python or Perl.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Aerospace Engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience developing, integrating, or testing electronic systems.
• Hands-on lab experience with electronic systems and test equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Perl).
• Knowledge of Change Management and Configuration management concepts.
• Experience writing technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain technical plans and process documents.
• Plan and execute verification and validation activities for avionics systems.
• Conduct system-level integration, regression, and acceptance testing.
• Analyze test results and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Apply DO-178, DO-254, ARP4754 regulatory requirements as needed.
• Participate in design reviews and project planning.
• Communicate progress and risks to stakeholders.
