Descripción del empleo

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Automation & Integration Engineer based in Mexico.

This is a hands-on engineering opportunity focused on building reliable integrations, automation, and business intelligence solutions.
You will connect critical business platforms through APIs and data pipelines, ensuring information flows accurately and consistently across systems.
A major part of the role involves transforming raw operational data into dashboards, KPIs, and insights that support leadership decisions.
You will also identify repetitive workflows and determine when no-code automation or custom development is the best solution.
Working across business and technology teams, you will translate operational challenges into scalable technical solutions.
The role offers significant autonomy, with opportunities to proactively recommend improvements and introduce emerging automation and AI capabilities.
It is ideal for a builder who enjoys creating systems from the ground up while leaving behind reliable, well-documented solutions.

Accountabilities
  • Design, build, and maintain API integrations and data synchronization between business platforms such as HubSpot, Filevine, Monday.com, Microsoft 365, and other systems.
  • Develop reliable and scalable integrations using technologies such as REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, and JSON.
  • Design and implement reporting dashboards and business intelligence infrastructure supporting Legal Operations, Finance, Sales, HR, and other business functions.
  • Transform raw platform data into actionable KPIs, reports, and visualizations that enable leadership and operational teams to make informed decisions.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for new dashboards and reporting capabilities based on available data and emerging business needs.
  • Identify repetitive and manual workflows across departments and automate them using no-code or low-code platforms such as Zapier, Make, or Power Automate where appropriate.
  • Develop custom scripts and solutions when standard automation tools cannot adequately address business requirements.
  • Monitor existing integrations and automations, troubleshoot failures, and continuously improve system reliability and performance.
  • Produce clear technical documentation for integrations, dashboards, automations, and other solutions to support long-term maintenance.
  • Collaborate with internal technology operations teams on solution design, knowledge transfer, and operational handoff.
  • Assess business workflows to identify inefficiencies and proactively recommend technology-driven improvements.
  • Evaluate emerging automation, integration, and AI tools and make practical recommendations to leadership.
Requirements
  • 3–5 years of hands‑on experience building and maintaining API integrations between business platforms, including experience with REST APIs, webhooks, OAuth, and JSON.
  • Ability to debug, troubleshoot, extend, and improve integrations rather than simply configuring pre-built templates.
  • Working knowledge of SQL and experience creating reporting dashboards or BI visualizations from raw business data.
  • Experience with BI and reporting platforms such as Power BI, Looker, Tableau, or comparable native reporting tools.
  • Working proficiency in Python or JavaScript for custom scripting, automation, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with at least one no‑code or low‑code automation platform, such as Zapier, Make/Integromat, Workato, or Power Automate.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to document technical solutions clearly and collaborate effectively with non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying inefficiencies and technology opportunities.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple concurrent projects, prioritize effectively, and communicate progress, risks, and blockers proactively.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and a professional remote working environment.
  • Ability to provide relevant work samples or a portfolio demonstrating integrations, dashboards, code samples, case studies, or comparable technical projects.
  • Experience with HubSpot, Filevine, Monday.com, or similar CRM, project management, or case management platforms is a plus.
  • Experience building internal tools or lightweight applications using Python, JavaScript, or similar technologies is advantageous.
  • Experience in legal services, professional services, or compliance-driven environments is a plus.
  • Prior experience supporting US‑based organizations remotely is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with AI productivity tools and integrating LLM‑based solutions such as Claude or comparable platforms into business workflows is advantageous.
Benefits
  • Compensation of $3,000–$4,000 USD per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Fully remote opportunity based in Mexico, as part of a broader Latin America remote team.
  • Opportunity to work on high-impact API integrations, business intelligence, automation, and AI-enabled workflows.
  • Significant ownership and autonomy in designing and building new technical solutions.
  • Opportunity to collaborate with technology operations and cross‑functional business teams.
  • Exposure to a broad range of business platforms, automation technologies, data systems, and emerging AI tools.
  • Opportunity to build solutions that directly improve operational efficiency and leadership decision‑making.
  • Professional growth through hands‑on work across integrations, BI, automation, scripting, and technology strategy.
