Sensient Technologies Corporation in Lerma is seeking an experienced Electrical/Electronic/Chemical/Robotic/Mechatronic Engineer. You will be responsible for supporting programming, creating drawings, and troubleshooting equipment while collaborating with various teams.

We are seeking an experienced Electrical/Electronic/Chemical/Robotic/Mechatronic Engineer to join our team preferable. As part of the responsibilities in this position, you will be supporting all controls, programming, creating and improving processes, power system design, creating drawings and schematics, project engineering, and troubleshooting equipment. You will work closely with process engineers, internal electricians and external contractors, while reporting directly to the appropriate team. The role will also require time spent on the facility floor to gain a thorough understanding of the site’s infrastructure, processes and layout.

What you will do:

  • Develop, program, maintain, modify, and support Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) systems.
  • Design, update, and enhance electrical schematics and diagrams, ensuring accuracy and providing redlines for any changes.
  • Work with AC/DC motors and power distribution systems.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to support site electrical needs, including developing and implementing migration paths for obsolete controls and components, ensuring compliance with NEC, IEEE. NEMA Standards.
  • Troubleshoot electrical/electronic infrastructure and technical issues, providing root cause analysis and problem-solving
  • Research and development of new technology to update and enhance industrial electrical systems.
  • Drive the research and development of new technologies to modernize and improve electrical/electronic/control/robotic systems
  • Support Maintenance to Maintain Arc-Flash models for the site’s electrical system and identify areas for improvement in both the facility and executive buildings.
  • Work closely with the Engineering department to support project development and execution plans.

What you will bring:

  • Experience in Manufacturing Plant Electrical Engineering, with knowledge of NFPA 70 requirements.
  • Proven project leadership experience with the ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Bachelor's degree (B.S. or higher) in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineer from an accredited institution.
  • Experience with, or willingness to learn, Siemens/Allen-Bradley PLC programming and other various platforms.
