Amazon is seeking a Shift Manager to lead shift operations at a delivery station with a focus on safety and productivity. The role requires rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays, and may involve weekend/holiday work during peak events to ensure plan execution.
The position oversees 15-30 Associates, driving safety and productivity through coaching, real-time adjustments, and continuous improvement. Strong leadership and fluency in Spanish are essential.
The Shift Manager is operations leadership position responsible for managing shift operations at a delivery station with a primary focus on safety and productivity. This role leads teams of Associates to achieve operational targets while maintaining the highest safety standards. This position requires working rotating shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays. During Peak Events (High Season), this role is required to work on weekends and holidays, including night shifts to ensure the execution of plans.
Champion workplace safety as the #1 priority in all decisions
Ensure 100% compliance with WHS protocols and conduct daily safety audits
Investigate incidents immediately and implement corrective actions
Lead by example in following safety procedures and wearing required PPE
Drive achievement of key metrics.
Supervise daily operations (inbound, sort, dispatch) during night shifts
Manage delivery cycles
Monitor real-time productivity and make immediate adjustments to meet targets
Balance productivity goals with safety requirements - never compromise safety for speed
Coordinate with DSPs to guarantee route capacity and quality
Manage labor allocation to optimize productivity while maintaining safe staffing
Ensure quality standards in sort and load processes
Respond to operational challenges during night shift operations
Lead a team of 15-30 Associates during assigned shift
Provide daily coaching on safe work practices and productivity improvement
Deliver real-time feedback and create a positive, safety-first environment
Participate in onboarding of new AAs
Analyze daily safety and productivity data to identify improvement opportunities
Implement initiatives to reduce safety incidents and increase throughput
Support new operations launches (Grey Kangaroo, new coverage areas)
Collaborate with cross-functional teams.
