Job summary

Abbott in Mexico City is seeking a Physicochemical Analyst Chemist to evaluate samples across materials, in-process, finished products, and stability studies. You will validate analytical methods and support method transfers in a fast-paced GMP environment.

This 12-month assignment requires a relevant degree, English proficiency, and experience with HPLC, GC, AA, and LIMS; rotating shifts may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Biochemistry (QFB), Pharmaceutical Chemistry (QFI), or related field; professional license required.
• Professional license required; minimum 2 years in pharma QC/analytical development.
• Technical English; ability to read and understand analytical methodologies.
• Familiarity with HPLC, GC, AA, LIMS and pharmacopoeias.

Responsibilities

• Perform analyses using HPLC, GC, AA on raw materials and finished products.
• Conduct analyses of purified water, rinse water, cleaning validation samples.
• Analyze process validation and stability program samples.
• Prepare statistical reports and mathematical calculations; review results.
• Develop stability protocols, method verifications, and transfers.
• Prepare change controls for updates to methods and specifications.
• Operate and maintain HPLC, GC, AA, and related lab instruments.
• Coordinate shipment of samples to external labs for analysis.
• Manage non-conformances, LIRs, and CAPA action plans.
