Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. is seeking a data analytics professional to drive site expansion analytics, pricing, and customer insights. You will work with veterinary data, POS, CRM, and cloud warehouses to deliver cross-functional value.

The role emphasizes advanced SQL, Python/R modeling, and BI dashboard delivery (Tableau/Power BI/Looker) to support strategic decisions and optimize unit economics across the business.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, CS).
• 2–4 years of experience in business analytics, data science, or strategic consulting; retail/healthcare/veterinary or subscription models preferred.
• Advanced SQL skills in cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, AWS).
• Proficiency in Python or R for data manipulation, modeling, and automation.
• Experience with BI tools (Tableau/Power BI/Looker) and strong presentation skills.

Key Responsibilities

1. Network Expansion & Location Intelligence

• Site Selection & Pipeline Management:Own analytical processes for hospital site selection, integrating predictive models, demographic data, and performance scorecards to prioritize and rank candidate locations.
• M&A & Business Development:Deliver data-driven insights and valuation metrics to support clinic acquisitions, partner integrations, and executive readouts for real estate committees.

2. Customer Insights & Revenue Optimization

• Customer Behavior Analytics:Analyze complex customer datasets to uncover trends in appointment utilization, service frequency, and cross-category attach rates (e.g., Rx diets, wellness plans, retail follow-ups).
• Forecasting & Pricing Strategy:Partner with business leaders to build operational and financial forecasts, evaluating pricing structures, promotions, and service bundles to maximize customer lifetime value (LTV) and unit economics.

3. Advanced Analytics & Data Engineering

• Data Integration:Extract, clean, and model complex datasets from disparate sources (veterinary management systems/EHR, POS, CRM, and cloud warehouses like Snowflake/BigQuery) using SQL, Python, or R.
• Predictive Modeling & Experimentation:Design and deploy statistical models, clustering algorithms, and test-and-learn frameworks; partner with Enterprise Data Science to adapt machine learning models to clinical and service operations.

4. Business Intelligence & Executive Communication

• Dashboards & Scorecards:Design, automate, and maintain interactive BI dashboards (Tableau, Power BI, or Looker) tracking core operational KPIs, clinic throughput, and customer satisfaction.
• Strategic Storytelling:Translate complex quantitative findings into concise visual reports and executive presentations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education:Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience:2–4 years of experience in business analytics, data science, or strategic consulting (experience in retail, healthcare, veterinary care, or subscription business models preferred).
• Technical Skills:
  • SQL & Data Warehousing:Advanced SQL skills with hands‑on experience in cloud environments (Snowflake, BigQuery, AWS, etc.).
  • Programming & Modeling:Proficiency in Python or R for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and automation.
  • BI & Visualization:Expertise in Tableau, Power BI, or Looker, along with strong presentation design skills.
• Core Competencies:
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to navigate ambiguous problems and deliver actionable recommendations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills across cross-border and multi-disciplinary teams.
