Placements24 busca un Analista de Riesgo de Mercado altamente analítico para unirse a su equipo de gestión de riesgos. Ubicado en Oaxaca, con modalidad híbrida y posibilidad de trabajo remoto, el rol implica identificar, medir y monitorear riesgos en portafolios de trading e inversión.

El/la candidato/a ideal deberá tener al menos 3 años de experiencia, dominio de Python/R/SQL y capacidad para desarrollar modelos y reportes para la alta dirección y auditorías regulatorias.

Formación

• Se requiere grado en finanzas cuantitativas, economía, matemática o estadística.
• Fuerte capacidad analítica y resolución de problemas.
• Excelentes habilidades de comunicación y presentación de resultados.
• Experiencia con modelos de riesgo y gestión de portfolios es deseable.

Responsabilidades

• Analizar y monitorizar exposiciones de riesgo de mercado en diferentes clases de activo.
• Desarrollar, implementar y validar modelos cuantitativos de riesgo (VaR, análisis de sensibilidad).
• Realizar pruebas de estrés y escenarios para evaluar la resiliencia de portafolios.
• Colaborar con mesas de negociación y gestores para entender drivers de riesgo.

About the Role

Our client, a dynamic financial services company, is seeking a highly analytical Analista de Riesgo de Mercado to join their risk management team. This role, based in Oaxaca City, Oaxaca , but offering remote work flexibility, is responsible for identifying, measuring, and monitoring market risks across the firm's trading and investment portfolios. The Analyst will develop and implement sophisticated risk models, perform stress testing, and provide critical insights to support trading strategies and risk mitigation efforts. This is an excellent opportunity for a quantitative professional to contribute to a key function within the Banca y Finanzas industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and monitor market risk exposures across various asset classes.
• Develop, implement, and validate quantitative models for risk measurement (e.g., VaR, sensitivity analysis).
• Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis to assess portfolio resilience.
• Collaborate with trading desks and portfolio managers to understand risk drivers.
• Prepare regular market risk reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.
• Identify and alert management to emerging market risks and potential limit breaches.
• Contribute to the enhancement of risk management policies and procedures.
• Stay abreast of market developments, financial instruments, and risk management best practices.
• Support internal and external audits related to market risk.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Quantitative Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in market risk, quantitative analysis, or a related role within the financial services industry.
• Strong understanding of financial markets, derivatives, and trading strategies.
• Proficiency in statistical software and programming languages (e.g., R, Python, SQL).
• Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.
• Experience with risk management systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to market risk is desirable.
