Clarios is seeking an Payroll Administrator to manage payroll inputs, benefits, and employee status changes across systems like Workday and Kronos. The role supports HR operations in a global manufacturing environment.

You will generate HR metrics using Power BI, handle termination settlements, and ensure compliance with payroll policies while maintaining data accuracy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business admin, or related field.
  • Basic knowledge of Mexican Federal Labor Law (LFT).
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems such as Workday and Kronos.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, esp. Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Power BI is a plus.

Job description

The Role

Responsible for gathering, reviewing, and processing all information required for payroll administration and employee benefits for both hourly and salaried employees. Ensures the accurate application and submission of employee status changes (hires, terminations, and updates) to internal and external institutions, while providing payroll and HR administration support.

What you'll do

  • Collect, enter, and validate payroll inputs including overtime, salary adjustments, bonuses, allowances, and other payroll incidents through systems such as Kronos and payroll spreadsheets.
  • Process hourly employee hires through Workday.
  • Provide support to supervisors regarding overtime approvals, vacation requests, leaves of absence, and employee attendance management in Kronos.
  • Coordinate requests for termination payments and settlement checks.
  • Manage requests for payroll cards, activation cards, replacement payroll cards, and meal voucher cards.
  • Generate and analyze HR metrics and reports through payroll systems and Power BI, including absenteeism, overtime, and employee turnover indicators.
  • Request and review employee termination settlement calculations.
  • Maintain employee access control records, including processing hires and terminations in the access management system and issuing employee badges.
  • Investigate and resolve payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through innovation programs by submitting, implementing, and following up on improvement ideas.
  • Provide payroll receipt account support and employee payroll document access assistance.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety operational controls, procedures, and work instructions.

What we look for

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.

Experience

  • Basic knowledge of Mexican Federal Labor Law (LFT).
  • Understanding of payroll processes and administration.
  • Knowledge of IMSS, Infonavit, and employee benefits administration.
  • Experience using HRIS and payroll systems such as Workday and Kronos is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI is preferred.
