Bombardier Mexico is seeking a Senior Specialist, Engineering, Stress to perform structural analysis using hand and FEM methods on aircraft structures, ensuring compliance with certification rules. You will engage with suppliers and customers, review designs, and prepare substantiation reports for authorities.

Requires 10+ years in stress engineering and proficiency in Patran/Nastran/Nasgro, CATIA V5, Siemens NX, and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent required.
• Minimum 10 years of stress engineering experience.
• Proficient in FEM tools: Patran, Nastran, Nasgro, Altair, Hypermesh.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Proficient in CATIA V5 and Siemens NX.
• Understanding of civil aircraft certification rules.
• Excellent communication and listening skills.
• Strong English communication (written and spoken).
• Able to work independently and multitask.
• Good understanding of aircraft structural load paths and analysis methods.
• MRB experience is a plus.
• Experience in an integration role is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Perform structural analysis using hand analysis methods and finite element analysis on metallic and non-metallic structure.
• Understand customer requirements and prepares formal, controlled engineering documentation (i.e. structural analysis reports, specifications, etc.).
• Prepare and presents design review material in support of technical interchange meetings with suppliers and external/internal customers.
• Review designs for preliminary sizing of structural reinforcements and load path definition for structural modifications.
• Support design process from preliminary/conceptual design through critical/detail design.
• Write, Review or Approve structural substantiation reports that meet technical requirements for the program and certifying authorities (TCCA/FAA/EASA…).
• Assess primary structure, secondary structure, and flight test installations from a static strength perspective.
• Perform fatigue and damage tolerance assessments based on customer’s mission profile requirements.
• Perform MRB duties in support of operations activities.
