Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking an AI & Knowledge Engineer to join our Business Architecture practice in Guadalajara, MX. The role combines AI engineering with architectural thinking to deliver governed access to enterprise data, AI agents, and scalable AI-enabled solutions for business architecture needs.

The candidate will work across LLMs, agent frameworks, and knowledge patterns, partnering with architects and security teams to evolve methodologies and improve stakeholder outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Design and build an MCP server, APIs, and services providing governed access to the Bizzdesign Business Architecture repository and related enterprise data.
• Develop AI agents, agentic workflows, chatbot capabilities, and reusable AI services that improve Business Architecture productivity and stakeholder value.
• Implement advanced knowledge patterns including RAG, vector databases, structured retrieval, provenance, and hybrid retrieval, reducing reliance on manually attached files.
• Bring strong hands-on capability across LLMs, agent frameworks, MCP, APIs, Python/software engineering, data integration, security, testing, evaluation, and observability.
• Develop knowledge of BIZBOK and Business Architecture concepts, including capabilities, value streams, information, strategy, initiatives, organization, and application relationships.
• Act as a thought partner to Business Architects, identifying where AI, automation, and knowledge engineering can improve methodology, analytical depth, velocity, consistency, and stakeholder outcomes.
• Translate Business Architecture use cases into scalable, reusable AI-enabled solutions, rather than one-off proofs of concept.
• Demonstrate strong systems thinking and architectural aptitude, including understanding complex information models, governance, ownership, security boundaries, and integration patterns.
• Collaborate effectively with Business Architecture, AI/platform, data, security, and technology teams.
• Demonstrate learning agility, communication, and stakeholder skills, spanning engineering, architecture, knowledge management, and practice innovation.

We are seeking an AI & Knowledge Engineer to join our Business and Strategic Enterprise Architecture practice as a peer to the Business Architects. This is not simply a development role; the candidate must combine strong AI engineering capability with architectural thinking, curiosity, stakeholder orientation, and the aptitude to build meaningful Business Architecture domain knowledge.
