About The Role

As an Accountant at GBS Group, you'll play an essential role in delivering high‑quality accounting services to our clients. You can grow your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment, working with a diverse team and contributing to a variety of accounting tasks while ensuring the smooth financial operations of our client businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze financial data and prepare financial reports for clients, including tracking assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other financial activities.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, gathering and balancing relevant financial information.
  • Process accounting paperwork, including bank statements and client documentation.
  • Coordinate accounting workflows to ensure timely and high‑quality output.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor for their accounting and financial needs.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. federal, state, and local financial regulations.
  • Work collaboratively with senior team members, receiving guidance and taking on more complex tasks as you develop.
  • Occasional extended business hours may be required when necessary.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications And Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • 2 years of accounting experience or relevant internships, with a clear understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of QuickBooks.
  • Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish, with the ability to communicate clearly with clients in both languages (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • Knowledge of U.S. corporate and personal tax regulations is a plus.
Ideal Qualifications
  • Experience working in a CPA or bookkeeping firm.
  • Exposure to payroll processing or tax filing (Sales, Payroll, or Tangible Taxes).
  • Familiarity with Creative Solutions Suite (UltraTax CS and Practice CS).
  • Experience working with U.S.-based companies.
