Description du poste

Become an Online 1:1 Teacher with Tutero

Tutero is an AI education company building the technology that lets great teachers do their best work - wherever they teach. We're hiring experienced online teachers across Mexico to deliver personalized, 1-on-1 lessons to students in the United States.

If you love teaching but are tired of crowded classrooms, endless prep, and admin that eats your evenings - this is teaching the way it should be.

Two things to check before you apply

1. You'll teach both English and Mathematics. Our families usually need help in both, so we match teachers who can cover both subjects. The only exception: if you majored in English or in Mathematics, you can apply to teach that subject on its own.

2. Apply in English. Your CV and your entire application must be written in English. Every lesson is taught in English to US students, so this is the first thing we look at - applications in Spanish won't move forward

Availability requirements

We hire based on the hours you can cover, not just the subjects you teach. Our students are in the US, so lessons happen after their school day.

• 15+ hours per week, including 8+ hours between 4-10 PM ET (≈ 2-8 PM Mexico City)
• Tell us your exact weekly availability in that window when you apply - the more hours you can offer, the more students we can match you with, and the more you earn
• Ready to commit for at least 18 months - our students stay with the same teacher, so continuity matters (and it means steady, ongoing work for you)

Why teach with Tutero

• Earn in USD - $12.5-17 per hour. Paid every fortnight by direct deposit to your Mexican bank account. Strong, reliable income from home.
• We bring you the students. We match you with learners based on your subject strengths - no marketing, no chasing, no gaps to fill yourself.
• Our technology handles the busywork. A ready bank of questions and resources, plus scheduling, payments, and planning support are all built in - so you spend your time teaching, not on paperwork.
• Total flexibility. 100% remote, 1-on-1, online. Teach from anywhere with a stable connection.
• Real impact. You'll work with the same students over time and watch their confidence and results grow - not one-off sessions.
• A global teaching community. Join educators from around the world, with support whenever you need it.

What we're looking for

• An experienced tutor or a qualified teacher
• Able to teach both English and Mathematics across elementary to high school levels
• Special needs and neurodivergent learning experience (in high demand)
• Available during peak after-school hours between 4-8 PM Eastern Time, with weekend availability preferred
• Minimum commitment of 15+ hours per week for at least 18 months
• Fluent, confident English for lessons and parent communication
• Basic tech setup: stable, high-speed internet, a clear headset, and a computer
• A warm, strong communicator who builds lasting relationships with students and families
