Job summary

Kuwait Jobs is hiring a Procurement Engineer to lead HVAC procurement activities from Ahmadi, Kuwait. You will review project specs, source equipment, and manage supplier relations to ensure on-time material delivery.

Ideal candidates have 3–8 years in HVAC procurement, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency with ERP systems. This is a full-time onsite role with immediate joiner availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 3–8 years of experience in HVAC procurement, purchasing or SCM.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment and materials.
• Experience with major HVAC brands is a plus.
• Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Clear communication and coordination abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review HVAC project specs, drawings, and material requirements.
• Prepare RFQs and Purchase Orders (POs).
• Source HVAC equipment, parts, and subcontractor services from approved suppliers.
• Evaluate quotations based on tech specs, quality, delivery, and pricing.
• Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and warehouse teams.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain vendor databases.
• Ensure materials comply with specs and standards.
• Track procurement status and follow up on deliveries.
• Prepare procurement reports, cost comparisons, and budget analyses.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• Coordinate import/export docs and customs clearance when required.
• Resolve supplier issues related to quality, quantity, and delivery.
• Maintain procurement records for audit and compliance.

• Key Responsibilities
• Review HVAC project specifications, drawings, and material requirements.
• Prepare and process Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and Purchase Orders (POs).
• Source HVAC equipment, materials, spare parts, and subcontractor services from approved suppliers.
• Obtain and evaluate quotations based on technical specifications, quality, delivery schedules, and pricing.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and warehouse teams to ensure timely material availability.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain vendor databases.
• Ensure purchased materials comply with project specifications and company standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3-8 years of experience in HVAC procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment, and materials.
• Familiarity with major HVAC brands such as Daikin, Carrier, Trane, and York.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Good understanding of procurement procedures and contract management.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Immediate joiners preferred
