Job summary

Advanced Search in Kuwait City is seeking a Telecommunications Transport Engineer to execute the day-to-day implementation, monitoring and maintenance of transport network infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration to support mobile, fixed and B2B services.

You will install, configure and test equipment (RON, GPON, DWDM), perform preventive and corrective maintenance, monitor alarms and incidents, and maintain accurate network records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering is required.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test transport network equipment, including RON, GPON, and DWDM systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal uptime.
• Support capacity expansions and infrastructure upgrades.
• Monitor alarms, analyze logs, and respond to incidents promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of network inventory, configurations, and updates.
• Assist specialists and professionals in troubleshooting escalated issues.
• Comply with ISMS policies and report breaches immediately.
• Adhere to Kuwait environmental requirements and Zain Group policies.

Job Description

Execute the day-to-day implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of transport network infrastructure. Ensure seamless integration of systems to support mobile, fixed, and B2B services.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Install, configure, and test transport network equipment, including RON, GPON, and DWDM systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal uptime.
• Support capacity expansions and infrastructure upgrades.
• Monitor alarms, analyze logs, and respond to incidents promptly.
• Maintain accurate records of network inventory, configurations, and updates.
• Assist specialists and professionals in troubleshooting escalated issues
• Perform all the above-mentioned roles and responsibilities in compliance to the Information Security Management System (ISMS) policies and report any information/physical security breaches or incidents to the supervisor/manager immediately
• Be aware of, and adhere to, all environmental requirements as set by the statutory bodies in Kuwait, or by the published policies of Zain Group/Kuwait
