Job summary

Tap Payments in Kuwait seeks a seasoned Risk professional to join the Risk Team. You will identify, assess, and mitigate risks across payments and regulatory compliance, helping protect our merchants and customers.

You will develop risk policies, monitor indicators, run stress tests, and report to senior management. Fluent Arabic and English is a plus; bachelor's in IT, Finance, or risk management preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Finance or risk management.
• Strong background in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risk.
• Experience developing strategic risk management plans.
• Regulatory compliance expertise in risk management.
• Ability to monitor key risk and control indicators.
• Strong analytical skills for root cause analysis.
• Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with risk profiling and control systems.
• Experience in business impact analysis and stress testing.
• Proficiency in data analysis and risk/fraud modeling.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Bilingual Arabic and English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain documentation for risk management policies and procedures.
• Lead risk identification and assessment processes for all departments and third parties.
• Develop and implement a strategic plan to prevent, eliminate, and mitigate risks.
• Develop and monitor risk appetite statements and risk tolerances.
• Monitor key risk and control indicators to enhance risk management practices.
• Maintain a risk register for all departments and monitor risk profiles.
• Investigate root causes of incidents and collaborate on mitigation strategies.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and business partners.
• Drive development of risk management capability across levels.
• Support first and second lines of defense with advice and tools.
• Facilitate systems to define and analyze risk profiles and controls.
• Conduct business impact analysis and stress testing to assess resilience.
• Perform data analysis and build risk and fraud models.
• Prepare and present risk management reports to senior management.
