Job summary

Hitachi Energy Engineering Technologies Co. (KSCC) seeks a Site Project Engineer to support critical power infrastructure by applying deep GIS expertise.

The role focuses on installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) at client sites, ensuring safe and reliable high-voltage operation. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems or related field.
• At least 7 years of experience with Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS).
• Knowledge of GIS components, operating principles, and common failure modes.
• Experience in GIS installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with international electrical safety standards and regulations.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; good teamwork and communication.

Responsibilities

How you will make an impact

• Perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair activities for GIS equipment, including circuit breakers, disconnectors, and earthing switches.
• Conduct routine inspections, diagnostic testing, and preventive maintenance on GIS systems to identify and address potential issues.

Your Background

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience working with Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) systems.
• Strong knowledge of GIS components, operating principles, and common failure modes.
• Proven experience in GIS installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting activities.
• Familiarity with applicable international and national electrical safety standards and regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex electrical issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and customers.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
• Experience with Hitachi Energy GIS products and systems is considered a strong advantage
