Hitachi Energy seeks a Site Project Engineer to support critical GIS-based power infrastructure. The role emphasizes expert GIS operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting across diverse customer projects, ensuring safe and reliable high-voltage equipment operation.

The candidate will lead diagnostics, maintenance procedures, and collaborative GIS design reviews, contributing to asset performance and energy transition goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience with Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS).
• Strong knowledge of GIS components, operation principles, and failure modes.
• Experience in GIS installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with international and national electrical safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of GIS equipment (circuit breakers, disconnectors, earthing switches).
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on GIS systems.
• Troubleshoot GIS malfunctions and implement corrective actions.
• Develop and execute GIS maintenance procedures and schedules.
• Provide guidance to technicians and engineers on GIS operation and maintenance.
• Collaborate on GIS design reviews, upgrades, and retrofits.
