Job summary

Egis Group in Kuwait is seeking a detail-oriented ICT Network Specialist to join our port facility. You will manage, maintain, and optimize critical network infrastructure that supports port operations.

The role requires extensive experience with TCP/IP, Cisco/Juniper gear, LAN/WAN, security, and network management tools. You will document configurations, plan capacity, and coordinate with vendors to ensure reliability.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of professional experience in network administration and infrastructure management.
• Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, network architecture, and OSI model.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco or Juniper enterprise equipment.
• Proficiency in LAN/WAN configuration, troubleshooting and optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure systems supporting port operations.
• Monitor network performance using SNMP tools to ensure availability.
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues and implement timely resolutions.
• Configure LAN/WAN, routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Implement and maintain network security protocols and firewall policies.
• Perform regular maintenance, updates, and change documentation.
• Collaborate with vendors for upgrades.
• Develop network topology diagrams and DR procedures.
• Conduct capacity planning to support operations.
• Respond to security incidents and maintain system integrity.
• Provide technical support to end-users and IT teams.
