Job summary

RSM Kuwait in Kuwait City is seeking a Senior Manager for its Assurance practice to lead statutory audits from planning to completion. The role is office-based at the Sharq office, working with audit teams and clients across industries.

You will supervise engagement teams, manage budgets and timelines, and stay current with IFRS and ISA developments. English fluency is required, Arabic is an advantage.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant statutory audit experience.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, CA or ACCA or equivalent.
• Prior Big Four experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and oversee statutory audit engagements in line with ISA and regulatory requirements.
• Review working papers and financial statements with engagement partners.
• Supervise and coach audit managers, seniors and associates throughout engagements.
• Manage engagement budgets, timelines and resource allocations.
• Maintain client relationships and act as primary day-to-day contact.
• Monitor IFRS and ISA developments and apply them to engagement work.
• Identify audit and business risks and communicate them to partners promptly.
• Support business development including proposals and client meetings.
• Contribute to training and development of audit staff.

Role Overview

RSM in Kuwait is looking to appoint a Senior Manager to its Assurance practice. The role involves managing statutory audit engagements from planning through to completion, and working closely with audit teams and clients across a range of industries. This is an in-office position based at the RSM in Kuwait office in Sharq, Kuwait.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and oversee statutory audit engagements across a portfolio of clients, in line with International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and applicable regulatory requirements
  
• Review audit working papers and financial statements prepared by the engagement team, and discuss findings with engagement partners
  
• Supervise, coach and support audit managers, seniors and associates throughout the engagement cycle
  
• Manage engagement budgets, timelines and re-sourcing to support the delivery of audits within agreed plans
  
• Maintain client relationships and act as a day-to-day point of contact for engagement matters
  
• Monitor developments in IFRS, ISA and relevant industry regulations, and apply these to engagement work
  
• Identify audit and business risks, and communicate these to engagement partners promptly
  
• Support business development activities, including proposals and client meetings
  
• Contribute to the training and professional development of audit staff

Requirements

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience, primarily in statutory audit
  
• Professional qualification such as CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent
  
• Prior experience with a Big Four firm is an advantage
  
• Working knowledge of IFRS and ISA
  
• Experience managing audit teams and multiple concurrent engagements
  
• Fluent in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage
