Job summary

Anton, a global leader in oil and gas services, seeks a Consultant Geophysicist (Exploration and Production) to guide geophysics teams and oversee major exploration projects. The role requires senior expertise in seismic interpretation, basin analysis and integrated subsurface studies.

You will mentor multidisciplinary teams and drive technical excellence, partnering with geologists and reservoir engineers to identify new play opportunities and optimize exploration planning.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Geophysics, Geology, Exploration Geology, Geoscience, or related discipline.
• Minimum 20 years of professional E&P Geophysics experience.
• Extensive experience in seismic acquisition, processing, interpretation and reservoir characterization.
• Strong track record in integration of geological and geophysical data for prospect generation.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and supervision to geophysicists and oversee projects.
• Lead exploration and appraisal studies using modern geophysical methods.
• Plan and supervise detailed geophysical studies with analytical techniques.
• Independently use industry-standard geophysical software and mentor team.
• Review geophysical studies and ensure technical accuracy of deliverables.
• Integrate geological and geophysical data for play and prospect assessment.
• Develop exploration strategies and support budgeting and prioritization.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams across geology, geophysics, geochemistry and reservoir engineering.
