Job summary

Otis Kuwait is seeking an experienced General Ledger/Accounting Manager to lead the accounting function for the Kuwait entity. You will ensure adherence to established policies, manage monthly closings, and coordinate with auditors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

The role requires guiding a small accounting team, optimizing processes across AP/AR, and maintaining accurate financial records in compliance with local laws. Prior experience in construction or elevator industries is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of accounting experience in GL/Accounting.
• Strong focus on AP/AR and pure accounting functions.
• At least 2 years of people management experience.
• Proven expertise in month-end closing, reporting, and audits.
• Experience in elevator, construction, or related industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Otis Kuwait accounting activities and guide the team on procedures.
• Develop and interpret accounting policies for AP/AR across branches per local laws.
• Distribute tasks to ensure efficiency and productivity within the team.
• Review invoices before submission to signatories for accuracy.
• Prepare journal vouchers and batches for receivables/payables entries.
• Review AP aging and due payments; monitor cash commitments.
• Lead reconciliations with major suppliers and balance confirmations.
• Coordinate with seniors and other departments to resolve discrepancies.
