Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Avionics Technician Apprentice to support deployments to CONUS/OCONUS locations. You will inspect and repair avionics systems, interpret manuals, and use test equipment to ensure flight readiness.

The role requires one year of avionics experience, the ability to read wiring diagrams, and the willingness to obtain DoD security clearances and IAT certifications within 90 days of hire or deployment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or relevant military/vocational training.
• Minimum of one year of Aircraft Avionics and/or GCS maintenance experience.
• Basic knowledge of electronics maintenance and repair.
• Basic knowledge of RFF systems, components, and accessories.
• Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Willingness to gain DoD IAT Level II certifications within 90 days or after deployment.

Responsibilities

• Support deployments to CONUS/OCONUS locations as required.
• Perform and inspect electronic maintenance on RPA systems and support equipment.
• Apply electronics principles to determine malfunctions and restore operation.
• Use test instruments to diagnose and repair equipment.
• Work with limited supervision while coordinating with leads and staff.
• Deploy to forward locations as directed by the Government.
