Job summary

Amentum seeks an Aircraft Mechanic to support deployment operations for CONUS/OCONUS locations, including Kuwait. You will inspect, repair, and overhaul aircraft systems, engines, and subsystems using Air Force orders and test equipment.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least one year of aircraft maintenance experience, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. DoD clearance and U.S. citizenship are prerequisites.

Qualifications

• Must have High school diploma or completed military/vocational training.
• Minimum of one year actual Aircraft Mechanic maintenance experience.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical maintenance and repair.
• Knowledge of technical publications for aircraft maintenance.
• Ability to interpret engines, flight controls, and electronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily launch/recovery duties in support of operations.
• Uses test equipment to analyze airframes, engines, and systems.
• Maintains parts inventory during maintenance activities.
• Inspects and repairs aircraft equipment, engines, and subsystems.
• Disassembles and inspects parts for wear and defects.
• Repairs/replaces components and reassembles engines in aircraft.
• Maintains flight line safety and serviceability.
