Job summary

Amentum in Kuwait is seeking an Avionics Technician Apprentice to support deployments to CONUS/OCONUS locations. The role involves inspecting and repairing electronic systems, interpreting manuals and schematics, and applying basic electronics knowledge for problem solving.

You will work with test equipment, read blueprints, and follow engineering standards under supervision, with readiness for forward deployments and DoD clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or completed military/vocational schooling.
• Minimum of one year of Aircraft Avionics and/or GCS maintenance experience.
• Must have basic knowledge of RFF systems, components, and accessories.
• Must possess general understanding of technical publications related to Aircraft electronics maintenance.
• Must be capable of reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and data tables.

Responsibilities

• Applies basic technical knowledge to solve unusually complex problems that affect operational and maintenance capabilities.
• Requires a basic understanding of the interrelationships of circuits and associated systems.
• Exercises independent judgment in performing assigned tasks under direction from Leads and technicians.
• Uses common and complex test instruments in the performance of duties.
• Maintains repairs and installs various types of electronic equipment and related devices.
• Applies basic electronics principles in determining malfunctions and restoring operations.
• Must be able to work with limited supervision.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
