Job summary

Anton Oilfield Services Group is seeking a skilled instrumentation and control technician to perform maintenance, inspection, testing and troubleshooting of complex systems in Kuwait. The role covers microprocessor-based controls, gas turbines, gas compressors and associated safety interlocks, with opportunities for supervisory responsibilities.

Applicants should have an ITI or a Diploma in Instrumentation/Control/Electronics, and a minimum of 4–8 years in oil and gas environments, including

Qualifications

• ITI certificate in Instrumentation, Instrument & Control, Electronics, or Electrical.
• Diploma in Instrumentation, Instrument & Control, or Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience maintaining instrumentation and control systems in Oil & Gas, refinery, or petrochemical industries.
• Practical experience with rotating equipment control systems, gas turbines, gas compressors, vibration monitoring and protective systems (for diploma path).

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems including microprocessor-based systems, engine management systems, gas turbines, gas compressors and variable-speed motors.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on control, protection, vibration monitoring, and governing systems.
• Troubleshoot anti-surge, burner management, engine management and related safety interlocks.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, inspection, testing, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems, including microprocessor-based systems, engine management systems, gas turbines, gas compressors, and variable-speed motors.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on control, protection, vibration monitoring, and governing systems.
• Troubleshoot anti-surge control systems, burner management systems (BMS), engine management systems, and associated safety interlocks.
• Diagnose instrument and control system faults and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Coordinate instrument repair, testing, and maintenance activities.
• Maintain maintenance records and report equipment faults, incidents, and completed activities to supervisors.

Qualification Requirements

• ITI certificate in Instrumentation, Instrument & Control, Electronics, or Electrical.
• Minimum 4 years of experience maintaining instrumentation, control systems, and related equipment in the Oil & Gas, refinery, or petrochemical industry.

OR

• Diploma in Instrumentation, Instrument & Control, or Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant maintenance experience, including at least 4 years in a supervisory position.
• Practical experience with rotating equipment control systems, gas turbines, gas compressors, vibration monitoring, and protective systems is required.
