Job summary

Canonical is seeking a Product Manager - Industrial Sector Lead for an EMEA-remote role. You will drive product strategy for industrial IoT, edge computing, robotics, and Industry 4.0 initiatives, bridging technology and business with open source at the core.

You will align engineering, design, marketing and sales to deliver market-ready offerings. The ideal candidate has strong PM experience in technical OSS domains, expert English communication, and willingness to travel for internal events.

Qualifications

Strong academic record at university level.
Experience product-managing technical domains related to open source.
Solid knowledge of Industry 4.0, IoT and edge computing.
Excellent writing and presentation skills.
Commercial astuteness for pricing and product strategy.
Understanding of physical compute, servers, networking, storage.
Familiarity with open source IoT frameworks and industrial platforms.
Experience with Kubernetes and OpenStack ecosystems.
Proficient in Linux and OSS communities.

Responsibilities

Lead lifecycle of product development and set priorities.
Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, and sales to align on priorities.
Conduct market research and gather customer feedback to identify opportunities.
Communicate vision, status updates, and key decisions to stakeholders.
Conduct usability testing and iterate on product to improve user experience.
Develop go-to-market strategies and create product documentation.
Support sales by reviewing feedback and participating in customer meetings.
