Job summary

UNITED STEEL INDUSTRIAL CO. is seeking a Tapper Operator for the Ferro Silicon Plant in Kuwait. The role requires safe execution of furnace tapping, control of molten ferrosilicon flow, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Vocational/Technical Certificate or Diploma in Metallurgical Processes, Industrial Operations, Production Operations, Mechanical, or related technical discipline.

Responsibilities

• Ensure tap hole and tapping equipment are in good condition.
• Maintain cleanliness of tapping area and surrounding spaces.
• Prepare molds/metal beds for tapping operations.
• Lead tapping team during shifts and coordinate activities.
• Monitor metal flow and recovery; report anomalies promptly.
• Assist with crane operation and metal handling as needed.
